Winemaker's Notes

The wine is a cohesive expression of Amador County, reflecting the climate and soil of this unique appellation. Our winemaker, Tom Jones, crafted the 2017 vintage in small French Oak barrels to create a complex and full-bodied wine. Rich color, lavendar and fruit aromas with berry flavors, and hint of smokiness mixed with vanilla.

Tasting Notes

Gorgeous rich garnet color in the glass. Aromas of lavender, blueberry, and fresh cherries are apparent. The flavors include fresh blackberry, boysenberry, and a little smokiness mixed with vanilla. The body is full and the finish is smooth with a little spice that lingers.
